Compliance Services
EMC Made Simple
The following detail some of our professional, low-cost EMC compliance and product safety services:
Electromagnetic Compatibility
Design engineers must understand International requirements for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), and implement advanced design techniques during product development. We offer multiple aspects of professional, low-cost consulting services to assist designers and manufacturers in achieving EMC. Services include engineering development along with testing and troubleshooting from the component through system level.
- Schematic analysis and review
- Hands-on PCB design layout review and manufacturing
- System analysis related to signal integrity, grounding, shielding and filtering
- Testing and troubleshooting systems and components
- Provide personalized training while consulting at the same time
- Preparing technical documentation and legal paperwork when needed
- Create Technical Files when applicable
- FCC testing, troubleshooting and certification
- CE testing, both immunity/susceptibility and emissions
- EMC training / EMC seminars
- EMC testing, including rolling stock
Product Safety and Risk Hazard Analysis - Hazard Based Safety Engineering (HBSE)
Montrose Compliance provides a range of services related to product safety and field labeling approval. To help companies in the most efficient manner possible, a relationship exists with third party professionals specializing in Hazard Based Safety Engineering (HBSE), CE compliance, SEMI compliance and field labeling. This includes official certification of products to the Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive and Semiconductor Standards (SEMI), with an emphasis on industrial products.
Design, Testing and Certification Services
- Testing as an assessed EMC test laboratory for in situ work, specializing in Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) and Information Technology Equipment (ITE). This includes heavy industrial products and semiconductor manufacturing systems
- In-house seminars and workshops on printed circuit board design, layout, signal integrity, grounding/shielding, or any other EMC topic of interest
- Testing and troubleshooting to achieve EMC
- In-house training and EMC consulting to implement suppression techniques within a printed circuit board (PCB) during design and layout
- Consultation with mechanical engineers to ensure compliance with safety and EMC requirements
- Work with compliance engineers on advanced EMC design and troubleshooting techniques
- Review of logic designs and schematics prior to printed circuit board component placement and routing
- System level approach to integration of printed circuit boards within their respective chassis or enclosure
- Temporary compliance services in lieu of a staff engineer
- Product safety approval for ITE and ISM using third party professional consultants
- Resolution of emergency stop-shipment design problems related to EMC compliance and product
