Course Overviews
These courses cover aspects dealing with product designs that must comply with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements. The discipline of EMC includes the design of electronic systems to minimize electromagnetic coupling and interference from both within and between systems based on environment of use or application. All courses are taught in a "fundamental format," for a target audience mainly those new to EMC engineering or as a refresher class for senior engineers. Depending upon the skill level of the students, advanced elements of applied EMC engineering may be presented. When required, simulations are used to highlight important aspects of signal integrity, terminations, and decoupling methodologies.
Who Should Attend
Practicing engineers of all disciplines: system designers, regulatory compliance engineers, EMC consultants, students, mechanical and PCB designers, and corporate management. No formal training in electronic theory or mathematics is required. Engineers within other disciplines will also gain valuable insights into multiple aspects of system designs that include PCB layout for EMI and signal integrity, grounding and shielding, and system level testing and troubleshooting techniques.
Benefits of Attending
- Enhanced Skills for System Design and Analysis
- Learning EMC Suppression versus Containment
- Analyzing Second Order Design Techniques for System/PCB Compatibility
- Aids in First-Time Testing Compliance to EMC Requirements
- Maintaining Current State-of-the-Art Technology
