Biography of Principle Consultant
Mark Montrose is principle consultant of Montrose Compliance Services, Inc., a full service professional consulting company specializing in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and product safety.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Mark was responsible for regulatory compliance at high-technology companies in California as both an engineer and manager. With nearly thirty years of experience, he is a low-cost solution provider related to system design, product, manufacturing and component engineering. Work expertise includes design, test and certification for: Information Technology Equipment (ITE); Industrial, Scientific and Medical equipment (ISM); and military products with a specialty in the international arena, especially the European EMC Directive.
Recent activities of significance includes joining Underwriters Laboratories as an instructor for "UL Knowledge Services" (a.k.a. UL University) teaching courses on EMC. In addition, Mark particpates as an Expert Witness related to EMC and engineering litigation.
Mark graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California, with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He completed a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Santa Clara, Santa Clara, California.
